HOW TO GET THERE

1500 hours is the golden number when it comes to airline career. That is the number of hours mandated by FAA in order for a pilot to be hired by an airline. Before you start flying, you need to get the proper training. Each type of pilot license has its own education and training standards, as well as a specified number of flight hours you'll need to complete. You'll need to pass written and flight tests to receive your pilot licenses. Depending on the path you choose (accelerated or flexible), it will take you 31-42 months to complete the training, build the hours and begin your airline career.
